Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drywall Estimator to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a pivotal role in accurately estimating costs associated with drywall installations for commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation: Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial drywall projects.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates and bids.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts, and other relevant documents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to continuously improve estimating processes and methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze project requirements, interpret drawings and specifications, and accurately calculate material and labor costs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and bidding processes, strong negotiation and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in drywall estimation and bid management.
  • Proficiency in software such as OST (OnScreen Takeoff), QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
