- Recommend and justify budgets for the branch.
- Act as a consultant to other program areas and departments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Develop and implement engineering projects and programs.
- Provide expert engineering advice and guidance to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Must have a current valid United States driver's license.
- Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) if applying for the 0801 series.
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Must have knowledge and experience in DoD planning, programming, budgeting, execution, and financial processes.
- Must have experience in contracting principles and quality assurance principles.
- Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
