Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Nurse to join our team at the MUSC Health Leatherman Pavilion. As a Nurse Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and delivering high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs, including those requiring crisis stabilization and psychiatric services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs, developing individualized care plans that address these complexities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and promoting positive patient outcomes.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care, adhering to standards of care and best practices within the organization.
  • Cultivate effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Pursue ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date on the latest developments in psychiatric nursing and behavioral health care.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in South Carolina or Compact State.
  • Experience in therapeutic nursing or related field preferred, with a strong foundation in psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification.
