Key Responsibilities- Food Distribution: Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver food donations, food boxes, and agency orders.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Interact with donors, agency personnel, volunteers, clients, and the general public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Logistics and Planning: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and deliveries to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Warehouse Operations: Assist with warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, building orders, and cleaning up.
- CDL License: Possess a valid Utah CDL-B license and a good driving record.
- Physical Demands: Be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs. regularly and 75 pounds occasionally), bend, stoop, and push/pull loaded pallet jacks.
- Communication Skills: Possess good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Flexibility: Be available to work different routes and schedules as required, including occasional overtime.
The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. The CDL Driver must be able to work in a warehouse setting, operate a large vehicle, and interact with the public in a professional manner.
