Position Overview: The role of the Desktop Support Technician involves the management and upkeep of computer systems, desktops, and associated peripherals within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely troubleshooting for problem areas through various channels, including in-person, telephone, or incident tickets.
- Assist end-users with technical issues and ensure a smooth operational experience.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in imaging, Windows 10, Active Directory, customer service, and ticketing systems.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Capability to configure (image) laptops and desktops using SCCM imaging techniques.
- Experience in repairing and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and mobile devices.
- Proficient in resolving Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity issues.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in delivering professional and courteous customer service.
Job Qualifications:
- Familiarity with tools such as Service Now, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Educational background: Associate or Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field such as computer science or technical support.
- A+ certification in computer technology is advantageous.
- Minimum of two years' experience in supporting end-user desktop and laptop environments or similar IT roles.
