Job Summary

Join Nexus Water Group as a Field Tech I and play a vital role in delivering essential water and wastewater services to our customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to work independently, travel daily, and provide on-site customer communication.

About the Role

This Field Tech I position is responsible for reading and recording water meters, identifying equipment problems, and performing minor maintenance tasks. You will work closely with customers, documenting interactions and activities in our customer relationship management system (CC&B).

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and field activities.
  • Provide on-site customer communication and respond to inquiries regarding meter reading schedules, billing, and other customer service matters.
  • Assist with maintaining mechanical, electrical, and piping systems for area water/wastewater facilities, collections, and distribution systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of mechanical work experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to frequently perform moderate to heavy physical demands, including lifting (75 lbs.), walking (10+ miles daily), climbing, and mechanical repair.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
