Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

  6. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, including monitoring cash inflows and outflows, maintaining appropriate cash reserves, and optimizing working capital.
  7. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and oversee financial audits, both internal and external, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and reporting requirements.
  8. Team Leadership: Manage the accounting and finance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations, providing guidance and support to team members.
  9. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  10. Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and optimize financial systems and processes, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
  11. Human Resources: Coordinate and supervise outsourced payroll and HR resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with increasing levels of responsibility, preferably in the agricultural or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards (such as GAAP).
  • Prior experience working with QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems, with experience with advanced Excel functions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as controllers often interact with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.
