Job Summary

As a GIS Mapping Specialist with Tooele City, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical duties related to map production and digital updates to the City's geographic information system (GIS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze geographic data using global positioning system locates and other tools and resources.
  • Work as a lead to our Utility Line Locator in completion of blue stakes requests and other data collection.
  • Maintain quality assurance on new or revised mapping.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in GIS or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with GIS mapping software products and knowledge of the principles, applications, and techniques of geographical information technology.
  • Ability to keep current on computer industry trends and emerging software.
