Job Title: Vocational Nurse - Dermatology/Neurology/Sleep Disorders Center

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Vocational Nurse to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As a Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Dermatology, Neurology, and Sleep Disorders clinics.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate activities such as referral management, appointment booking, and order reconciliation.
  • Document patients' chief complaints and other pertinent information in the health record.
  • Participate in promoting patient compliance with health activities in accordance with RESPECT-Mil.
  • Coordinate and facilitate care coordination, communicate relevant information according to the medical plan of care, and document accordingly in the health record.
  • Assist providers with telephone and electronic health record messaging center regarding renewal of medications, laboratory test results, and other medical requests.
Requirements:
  • Vocational nursing program and a current license to practice as a practical or vocational nurse in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility.
