- Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Colleagues and Parents: Work closely with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Utilize Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment: Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment to facilitate student participation and independence.
- Support Social-Emotional Development: Monitor and address students' social-emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills.
- Master's Degree in Special Education: A master's degree in Special Education is preferred.
- Valid Teaching Certificate or Credential: A valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education is required.
- IEP Development and Implementation: Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
