Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess mental health status and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management services, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to establish therapeutic relationships and create a supportive environment.
- Monitor patients for treatment response, medication side effects, and potential medication interactions.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families, offering information about mental illnesses, treatment options, and strategies for coping and self-management.
- Cultivate a therapeutic and empathetic environment by demonstrating active listening, empathy, and compassionate care.
- Master's degree in psychiatric/mental health nursing.
- Current and unrestricted Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in California.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, working with diverse populations dealing with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Proven track record of success in psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic interviews, medication management, and treatment planning.
$100.00 per hour.
