Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and seasoned Permanent Employment Litigation Associate to join our expanding legal team.
This position presents a unique opportunity to manage intricate employment litigation cases, providing expert legal counsel and guidance to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of employment law and a successful history of overseeing litigation from inception to resolution.
This role necessitates exceptional capabilities in drafting, revising employee handbooks, and presenting motions in both state and federal courts.Key Responsibilities:
As our Employment Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a diverse range of employment litigation cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour claims.
- Effectively responding to pleadings and overseeing discovery processes.
- Drafting and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws.
- Arguing motions and advocating for clients in state and federal court.
- Providing expert legal advice on labor and employment matters to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborating with colleagues to devise strategies for litigation and dispute resolution.
- Staying informed on changes in employment law and advising clients accordingly.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the Colorado Bar.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in employment litigation.
- Demonstrated experience in responding to pleadings and managing discovery.
- Proven ability to handle litigation matters from start to finish.
- Extensive experience in drafting and revising employee handbooks.
- Proven experience in arguing motions in state and federal court.
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor and employment law.
- Strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
