Key Responsibilities and QualificationsResponsibilities in this Role:
- Evaluate and assess patient care requirements.
- Execute physician directives.
- Administer prescribed medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs.
- Manage respiratory care and ventilator support for patients.
- Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Document and communicate patient status using computerized systems.
- Educate patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to address discharge planning needs.
- Provide culturally competent care across all age groups.
- Mentor and orient new staff members.
- Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications within six months of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (RN) with an Associate's Degree.
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse license or active Compact State licensure required.
- Previous ICU experience is preferred.
