We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Expediter Coordinator to join our team at Pūlama Lāna'i. As an Expediter Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
About the RoleThe Expediter Coordinator will work closely with restaurant staff to ensure that each customer receives the correct items and condiments. This involves reading order tickets, retrieving order items and condiments, and checking tickets for accuracy. The Expediter Coordinator will also be responsible for setting up the room, including tables and kitchen work areas, and being thoroughly familiar with the entire menu, daily specials, and wine.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfill customer orders by working with restaurant staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Read order tickets and retrieve order items and condiments
- Check tickets for accuracy
- Set up the room, including tables and kitchen work areas
- Be thoroughly familiar with the entire menu, daily specials, and wine
- Assist with receiving food and beverage orders and ring them up under the POS number according to established procedures
- Remain accountable for all checks and handle them according to established procedures
- Previous experience in food service and/or dining room operations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions
