Job Summary

We're seeking a talented A2P Messaging Engineer to join our Regulated Services team and make a significant impact in the dynamic field of application-to-person (A2P) messaging. As an A2P Messaging Engineer, you will design and maintain scalable A2P messaging solutions that route through multiple aggregators using NNID and ENUM. Your expertise will ensure reliable and low-latency messaging, ability to connect to direct aggregators, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain scalable A2P messaging solutions that support reliable and low-latency messaging and ability to connect to a direct aggregator.
  • Develop KPIs to monitor messaging routes and delivery mechanisms to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to message delivery and platform performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including TCPA, and good understanding of FCC regulations related to messaging.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate messaging features and dependencies, including automation where applicable.
  • Collaborate with messaging product and engineering teams to support integration and upgrades for smooth functionality and robust performance.
  • Propose and implement new features or enhancements to keep our messaging solutions at the cutting edge of industry.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of technical experience in A2P messaging, SMS/MMS gateway technologies, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of working with high-volume and dynamic messaging systems either with an operator or an aggregator.
  • Understanding of ENUM, aggregators, and routing of A2P traffic.
  • Familiarity with campaign vetting and security.
  • Understanding of messaging protocols and architecture and its interaction with other network functions in the core network.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based messaging platforms (e.g. AWS).
  • Experienced in working with multiple vendors/partners.
  • Familiarity with spam platforms for messaging is a plus.
