Nutrition Therapist

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition therapy and excellent communication skills. This role is responsible for assessing patient nutritional needs, developing interventions, and monitoring progress. As a competent-level dietitian, you will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care.

Salary: $25.80 - $38.70 per hour, based on relevant experience.

Job Description:

This position involves providing ambulatory care through a mix of in-person visits and telehealth consultations. You will work with patients with various conditions, including ALS/MDA, keto diet/epilepsy, and primary care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing patient nutritional status and deriving diagnoses from assessment data

• Developing evidence-based interventions and plans of care

• Monitoring patient progress, measuring outcomes, and evaluating effectiveness

You will also participate in departmental initiatives and may conduct education programs for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, you may function as a preceptor to support academic growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or a related field

• Registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

• Relevant life support certification as determined at position level

• At least one year of experience in Clinical Nutrition
