About the Role:
HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a skilled Echocardiographer II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with stress testing and other non-invasive cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing procedures upon the request of the physician and according to departmental demands.
- Perform noninvasive and semi-invasive cardiac ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, stress echo, cardiac Doppler, and color flow Doppler.
- Accurately measure cardiac chambers and valve areas for physician interpretation.
- Enter echocardiographic data into structured reporting templates and prepare for physician interpretation.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and document required data.
- Actively seek ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or services delivered.
- Utilize Performance Improvement Plans to enhance patient safety.
Requirements:
- One year of Cardiac Ultrasound Technology experience required.
