We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer who will report directly to the Director of Business Information Security (BISO). This role is pivotal in developing and enforcing security standards across our Azure and AWS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Cloud Steering Committee to propose, comprehend, and apply security standards and configurations within Epiq's Cloud Environment.
  • Assist software development and IT infrastructure teams in the implementation of security measures that align with Epiq's cloud security policies and standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and identify enhancements that can improve security capabilities, reduce costs, and increase automation efficiency.
  • Advise software developers on design strategies and methodologies for common security controls in their cloud applications.
  • Communicate challenges, obstacles, and requirements to cybersecurity leadership, ensuring the cybersecurity program adapts to provide enhanced support and coverage.
  • Monitor and report metrics to gauge the success of cloud security initiatives.
  • Support the Cloud Security Posture Management program in identifying, assessing, and reporting on the implementation of security controls across essential cloud assets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in native technologies within Azure or AWS, with a preference for AWS skill sets.
  • Strong understanding of secure cloud practices in hybrid environments utilizing both traditional and cloud-native technologies.
  • Ability to adapt existing cloud technology experience to new or unfamiliar technologies.
  • Familiarity with common cloud security frameworks and guidelines, such as NIST and OWASP Cloud-Native Application Top 10.
  • Proven ability to build trust and collaboration with diverse resources across the organization.
  • Ability to define and report on critical metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Effective communication skills to present and influence peers and leadership team members.
  • Capability to provide technical leadership and clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
