We are seeking a skilled Medical Oncology Nurse to join our team at East Alabama Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient appointments, new referrals, prescription refills, prior authorizations, and symptom management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care to patients with cancer, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Manage patient appointments, new referrals, prescription refills, and prior authorizations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum Education - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum Experience - 2 years of nursing experience
- Required Registration/License/Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Chemotherapy Biotherapy Provider training, and Registered Nursing License
- Preferred Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Preferred Experience - RN or Oncology experience in an office setting
- Preferred Registration/License/Certification - Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
- Other Requirements - None
