Job Title: Registered Nurse - Ortho Neuro Surgical Travel Assignment

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in an Ortho Neuro Surgical unit. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.

Job Details:
  • Job Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12 Hour Days
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • License: Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Responsibilities:
  • Work in a mixed acuity unit with Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and MedSurg patients
  • Provide care for surgical, orthopedic trauma, neuro/spine, and general medical patients
  • Perform tasks such as cardiac strip interpretation, chest tube management, trach care, NGT tube management, and more
  • Manage medication administration, TPN/tube feeding, and blood product transfusions
  • Conduct wound care and dressing changes, along with drip titration for certain medications
  • Collaborate in a team-oriented environment with pod staffing structure, supported by charge nurses and a flex nurse
  • Float to various adult inpatient units as needed
  • Follow a 6-week scheduling rotation with potential weekend assignments
  • Participate in a mandatory orientation program including online learning and classroom training
Unit Support:
  • Two RNs and one Nurse Aide per pod
  • Dedicated charge nurses for each floor
  • Phlebotomy and respiratory support available
  • Maintain compliance with monthly audits for Pre/Post pain scoring
Other Details:
  • Navy Blue scrubs required
  • Participate in orientation with Nursing Professional Development Team
