The New Brunswick Counseling Center, a recognized non-profit organization accredited by CARF, is in search of a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver essential psychiatric services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to established standards and protocols for psychiatric and medical care provided to clients.
- Deliver direct client services, including comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions.
- Engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff involved in the provision of psychiatric or medical services, participating actively in critical case discussions.
- Conduct regular meetings with program staff to monitor and discuss client progress.
- Offer consultative and educational support to team members regarding client care and relevant psychiatric knowledge.
- Maintain thorough documentation of professional services in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Utilize the agency's electronic health record system efficiently.
- Assist clients in navigating disability, housing, and transportation entitlement applications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the program's objectives.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in a relevant field and a current, valid professional license.
- A minimum of one year of experience in providing direct patient care.
- Possession of prescriptive authority is required.
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- Valid license to practice in the State of New Jersey.
