We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Childrens National Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the NICU and PICU units, including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their respiratory function.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen concentrators.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Current RRT certification and BLS and PALS certifications.
  • At least 1 year of experience in pediatric respiratory care, preferably in the NICU or PICU.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
