Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, adhering to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers by coordinating and prioritizing procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
  • Assist Radiologists or other medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures using equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain the highest level of professionalism.
  • Demonstrate adherence to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health Care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital preferred.
  • Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
