Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to provide essential support to our team and internal stakeholders. This role involves applying accounting principles to assess financial data and generate reports in compliance with GAAP. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing system data entries and verifying outcomes across various platforms.
  • Reviewing accounts payable, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
  • Coordinating the distribution and collection of monthly business card statements from department managers.
  • Preparing entries for interest on certificates of deposit and ensuring accurate investment reporting.
  • Conducting daily cash activity analysis and preparing necessary reports.
  • Assisting with month-end closing tasks, including fixed assets and accrued expenses.
  • Compiling and analyzing financial data to prepare account entries and reconciliations.
  • Identifying significant account balance fluctuations and reporting findings to management.
  • Ensuring timely completion of general ledger reconciliations and resolving outstanding issues.
  • Providing support to other accounting team members as needed.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, along with two to four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
