Job Summary:

This role is essential in ensuring the security, safety, and welfare of all personnel and visitors at corporate and remote locations. The incumbent will safeguard the organization's assets against theft, assault, fire, and other safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with security systems, technologies, operating standards, and procedures.
  • Continuously assess existing security systems for potential vulnerabilities or fraudulent activities.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize employee safety and update processes accordingly.
  • Engage with law enforcement agencies and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Respond to medical emergencies as required.
  • Provide security support and assistance to employees and visitors during incidents.
  • Conduct security patrols and enforce identification protocols for all personnel.
  • Monitor remote locations via surveillance systems to detect and report any suspicious activities.
  • Maintain a detailed log of incidents, thefts, or lost items, and communicate with law enforcement as necessary.
  • Investigate and document accidents, incidents, or suspicious activities, including witness interviews.
  • Grant access to individuals entering the premises, validating credentials and issuing temporary or permanent badges.
  • Conduct security awareness training and document actual and potential security breaches.
  • Perform routine monitoring of facilities, including campus buildings and parking areas, to identify and address any violations or concerns.
  • Complete additional training (approximately 30 hours) focused on employee safety and response protocols.
  • Assist management with security and investigative matters.
  • Address incoming security concerns and determine appropriate actions or referrals.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant security experience; ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in security, military, or law enforcement.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

Professional demeanor when interacting with challenging individuals.

Capacity to make independent, time-sensitive decisions.
