Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members to concentrate on data generation, alpha research, and analytical tools specifically within the volatility trading domain.
  • Engage with portfolio managers to gather requirements and discuss modeling techniques and methodologies for research, valuation, and risk assessment.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in modeling equity derivatives, fitting volatility surfaces, and developing backtesting systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, q/kdb+, SQL, and familiarity with parallel/cloud computing, Unix, and Airflow.
  • Strong understanding of the equity derivatives market, including listed options, futures, variance swaps, VIX, and other derivative instruments.
  • Basic knowledge of common volatility trading strategies, including dispersion, relative value, and the VIX complex.
  • Experience handling large datasets, particularly options order-book and tick data.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrating thoroughness and strong ownership of tasks.
