CareFlite is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ground Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As a Ground Emergency Medical Technician, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate emergency vehicles in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as CareFlite policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles and report any issues or required maintenance.
  • Assist flight crew members in loading and unloading patients for helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft transport.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and medical personnel to ensure a positive and safe transport experience.
  • Accommodate family members and provide emotional support as needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care and transport details.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current State of Texas certification as an Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Current PHTLS Certificate or obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Current Dallas City Ambulance Attendant Driver permit or obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • 2 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
Working Conditions

CareFlite Ground Emergency Medical Technicians work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. They are frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. Personal Protective Equipment is required for specific tasks and in certain areas.
