We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our addiction medicine team at Acadia Healthcare. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality, efficiency, and management of medical services within our clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Quality Assurance: Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services that meet state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
- Medical Management: Define protocols and make decisions regarding patient care that align with current medical practice and company policies.
- Staff Oversight: Supervise and mentor medical staff, as well as administrative and support staff, to ensure adherence to established medical and clinic policies.
- Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between medical staff, other clinic staff, and organizational leadership to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Teaching and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in addiction medicine.
- Clinical Practice: Conduct physical exams, review medical records, make medical evaluations, order diagnostic testing, prescribe medications and treatments, and manage behavioral or mental health problems of patients.
- Education: Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
- Experience: Prefer previous experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Certifications: Current license to practice medicine, board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification by American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), or other certification within their discipline, and current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances.
