Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate documentation submitted for appeal eligibility.
  • Organize and prioritize appeals for input into the system following departmental procedures.
  • Accurately enter appeal and claim details into the appeals management system.
  • Attach all necessary documentation to the appropriate case files.
  • Communicate any special handling instructions for each appeal as needed.
  • Maintain established production standards and monitor error rates.
  • Provide assistance and support to colleagues as required.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations in all communications and processing tasks.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Typing proficiency of 40 words per minute.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to conduct paperless data entry efficiently.
  • Independent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills.

Compensation: Pay rate is $16/hr, commensurate with experience. This position is temporary to hire, with the opportunity to transition to remote work once permanent.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
