Job Title: Female Caregiver for Women's First Responder Treatment Center

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Female Caregiver to join our team at the Women's First Responder Treatment Center. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support and care to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate daily activities, including wake-up, supervision, and assistance with meal service, laundry, and other tasks.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Monitor and observe client behavior, intervening as needed to ensure their treatment plan is followed.
  • Document observations and interventions in client records, maintaining accurate and thorough records.
  • Coordinate treatment milieu with other counseling staff, ensuring seamless care and support.
  • Ensure transportation safety by conducting vehicle inspections and following safety protocols.
  • Supervise clients with self-administration of medication, only after training is provided.
  • Ensure physical safety and security of the facility by conducting regular house checks.
  • Search all items brought into the facility and secure client valuables.
  • Assist with client intakes and welcome, facilitating a smooth transition into our care.
  • Facilitate client discharges, ensuring a safe and supportive transition.
  • May provide one-to-one supervision for clients at risk, as directed by supervisor or designee.
  • Understand and follow emergency procedures according to program policy.
  • In the absence of a chef, prepare and cook meals, portion servings, clean dishes, and kitchen area.
  • Conduct UA drug screen collection and follow appropriate protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or Program Director.

Requirements:

  • California Driver's license with an insurable DMV driving record.
  • Two years of sobriety, if recovering.
  • Registered or certified as an alcohol drug counselor/technician.
  • Experience working in detox/residential treatment settings.
  • Experience working in the field of addiction.
  • Knowledge of EHR preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to be thorough and accurate.
  • Able to work both individually and part of a team.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently and creatively.
