About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Weekend Hospice Care team. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing end-of-life care to patients and their families after regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive and timely delivery of hospice care for patients and their families
  • Triage patient needs over the phone until a nurse can provide an in-person visit
  • Respond to crisis calls from patients and families after hours with urgency and empathy
  • Makes initial nursing evaluations to determine eligibility for hospice services
  • Perform after-hours visits, including admission visits, death visits, recertification visits, and routine visits

About You:

  • One year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice
  • Current CPR Certification
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Experience Working with Terminally Ill Patients Required in VA

Salary Information: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on location and experience
