The Clinical Nurse Emergency Department is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a proactive and compassionate nurse, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver individualized care using evidence-based practice and analytical thinking.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts to diverse patient needs and cultural backgrounds.
- Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve care goals, using effective communication methods and timely updates.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards and promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
- Coordinate safe, quality patient care through timely documentation and diverse communication methods.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance to promote safe, quality patient care.
- Complete ongoing professional competency assessments, mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (preferred).
- Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (instructor or provisional).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (instructor or provisional).
- Experience with direct patient care.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
