Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager is a key leadership role at Johnson City Medical Center, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing units. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive quality patient care and team member satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage nursing teams to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve excellent patient satisfaction scores.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with medical staff, administration, and other departments to achieve patient and family-care objectives.
- Manage personnel, including interviewing, hiring, and evaluating staff, as well as providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze unit performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and team member satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum three years of clinical licensed nursing experience, with at least two years of supervisory experience.
- Valid and active RN licensure in the state of practice.
- AHA BLS certification, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as required by the area assigned.
- National Professional Nursing certification is desired.

- On Call: No
- Weekends: Rotating
- Travel Required: No Travel
