Job Title: Adjunct Faculty/Beginning Judo Instructor
Department: Health, Human Performance, & Physical Education
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Beginning Judo at SUNY Westchester Community College. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, a Senior Brown Belt (Ikkyu) rank, and one year of practical experience in Judo.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Beginning Judo classes to students
- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Senior Brown Belt (Ikkyu) rank in Judo
- One year of practical experience in Judo
- USA Judo Certified, IJF or USJF Certified, Safe Sport Certified, and current CPR/First Aid certification are preferred
Working Conditions:
The Adjunct Faculty member will work on a part-time basis, teaching Beginning Judo classes and participating in departmental activities.
Salary and Benefits:
The hourly rate of pay is $82.57 per hour, with no benefits.
