Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Grainger. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our industrial systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, building systems, and other industrial equipment
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve day-to-day issues and recurring problems
  • Recommend and implement preventative maintenance programs and repairs to automated sorting equipment and other systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve problems and propose innovative solutions
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance activities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building and equipment maintenance, with a focus on industrial systems and conveyor systems
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate, with experience using MS Outlook and other Microsoft products
Working Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment, with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and moving equipment. The successful candidate will be able to work at heights and in uncomfortable positions, and will be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
