Aerotek is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for programming and operating complex five-axis CNC machines, ensuring the highest quality standards for human flight-critical aerospace parts.
Key Responsibilities- Programming and Operations: Work with full five-axis CNC machines, robotic pallet systems, probing, laser offsetting, and tool breakage detection.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality standards for human flight-critical aerospace parts, adhering to AS9100 requirements.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Exhibit strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: Be thorough and observant with a keen eye for detail to maintain our reputation for delivering quality products on time.
- Experience: 5+ years in 5-axis CNC programming/machining with horizontal and vertical mills (lathe experience is a plus).
- Tooling and Work Holding: Identify and procure effective solutions.
- CAD Proficiency: Work with Solid Modelling CAD programs for file inspection and modification.
- Precision Machining: Machine complex components to tight tolerances under tight deadlines.
- Engineering Knowledge: Understand engineering drawings, documents, and GD&T.
- Measurement Tools: Use calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, and have basic CMM familiarity.
- CAM Software: Knowledge of multiple CAM software programs; experience with Surfcam, NX, and HSMWorks is a plus.
- Fixture Design: Experience in fixture design and process engineering is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail.
- Quality Systems: Experience with international quality systems like ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- ERP Systems: Strong working knowledge.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently.
