Office Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Office Surveyor to join our team on the Thacker Pass Project. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for coordinating and updating survey strategy, providing technical support for laser scanning and meteorology surveys, and overseeing survey computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, instrument calibration, subcontractor survey work, and project drone operations.

• Support the survey team in implementing project safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Provide technical support related to survey to Field Engineering and Superintendents in various situations and configurations.
• Establish and/or verify and maintain the project's survey control network.
• Support the administration of the survey work request program.
• Complete civil project completion documentation, including As-Built records.
• Check the accurate layout of construction work, record field data according to job specifications, and perform survey activities.
• Provide oversight of Calibration Baseline checks of survey instruments.
• Perform field scans/reality capture surveys.

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Survey CAD software, such as TBC (Trimble Business Center), Leica Infinity, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Incidents safety program and quality standards.
