Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PRN Registered Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:Technical Procedures:- Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including positioning patients and adjusting equipment settings to obtain high-quality images.
- Operate CT scanners and other imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and comfort during procedures.
- Obtain complete clinical histories and gather examination data to assess patient conditions.
- Follow established procedures for administering contrast media and ensuring patient safety.
- Verify patient identification and ensure accurate labeling of images.
- Consistently produce high-quality images, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Send images to PACS and print CDs as necessary.
- Restock linens and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Transport patients, position them, and assist with procedures.
- Perform patient charging activities and apply shielding and immobilization devices as needed.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology Required
- ARRT Radiography Certification Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Required
