Job Title: PRN Registered Radiology Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PRN Registered Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:Technical Procedures:

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including positioning patients and adjusting equipment settings to obtain high-quality images.
• Operate CT scanners and other imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and comfort during procedures.

Patient Care:

• Obtain complete clinical histories and gather examination data to assess patient conditions.
• Follow established procedures for administering contrast media and ensuring patient safety.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate labeling of images.

Quality Control:

• Consistently produce high-quality images, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Send images to PACS and print CDs as necessary.

Operations:

• Restock linens and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Transport patients, position them, and assist with procedures.
• Perform patient charging activities and apply shielding and immobilization devices as needed.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology Required
• ARRT Radiography Certification Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Required
