Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Care-Pets Animal Hospital and Wellness Center. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery, including outpatient exams, patient preparation, and laboratory testing.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and patient nursing.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and practice team members to ensure seamless patient care and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records, track lab specimens, and manage medications and patient instructions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in the state of desired employment.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Practice OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS office applications.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.
