Job Description

As a Production Technician at Balance Staffing - Austin, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality semiconductor chips. Your primary responsibilities will include processing parts using chemical and manual cleaning methods, operating machinery, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process parts using chemical and manual cleaning methods.
  • Operate machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Lean manufacturing processes, and company policies.
  • Complete training on assigned processes and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
  • Perform daily organization and upkeep of assigned process areas.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and training programs.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals correctly and safely.

Requirements:

  • 1-year experience in manufacturing processes or materials.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience preferred.
  • Experience in parts cleaning and coating technologies is desired.
  • Kaizen or Lean training a major plus.
  • Media blast experience.
  • Quality Assurance experience.
  • Previous experience in the Parts Cleaning industry a major plus.
  • High-Tech or Semiconductor experience.

Work Environment:

  • Works in an office environment.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ability to stand/sit for sustained periods of time.
  • The ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods of time may be required.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to noise levels.
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.
  • Subject to vibrations.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.
