Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Inspector to join our team at Universal Engineering Sciences. As a Special Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting structural observations and inspections on various construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved plans, codes, and related requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections and observations to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Monitor construction work in progress to identify potential issues and defects
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing observations and findings
  • Communicate with project managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality control and quality assurance
Requirements
  • Minimum 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in construction materials testing or inspection
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as construction, engineering, or architecture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • ICC High Strength Bolting, ICC Welding, ICC Structural Steel, and ICC Masonry certifications
  • ACI Field Grade I certification
