UPMC is seeking a highly skilled Invasive Cardiac Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing advanced imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced technical procedures, including imaging and diagnostic tests, with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiovascular technology and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide coverage at other facilities as needed.
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS) or certified/licensed as a Paramedic in the state of Pennsylvania with current credentialing maintained.
- 2 years of experience in invasive cardiology, vascular, and/or electrophysiology.
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
- Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Radiologic Technologist (RT-R), RT-R plus CV certification or RCIS or Cardiovascular Technologist plus RCIS, CPR and ACLS certification, ARRT Certificate, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Echocardiograph and Ultrasound, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Act 34 with renewal.
