We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to provide exceptional observation and reporting of patients with various medical conditions at Mercy Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in patient care and provide accurate reporting of observations.
- Perform various duties related to patient assistance, transportation, and environmental maintenance in the Emergency Department.
- Meet and greet patients, families, and visitors with a pleasant demeanor, assisting with comfort needs throughout their hospital stay.
- Exhibit compassion, advocacy, and transparent communication with patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
- CPR/Basic Life Support certification required.
- Assault Reduction Training.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position with 36 hours of night shift work.
- Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
