Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to provide exceptional observation and reporting of patients with various medical conditions at Mercy Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in patient care and provide accurate reporting of observations.
  • Perform various duties related to patient assistance, transportation, and environmental maintenance in the Emergency Department.
  • Meet and greet patients, families, and visitors with a pleasant demeanor, assisting with comfort needs throughout their hospital stay.
  • Exhibit compassion, advocacy, and transparent communication with patients and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
  • CPR/Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Assault Reduction Training.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position with 36 hours of night shift work.
  • Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
