Job Description

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Located in Bristol, TN, Ladgov Corporation is seeking a skilled Welding Instructor to support the Department of Forest Service at the Jacobs Creek Job Corps Center. This residential educational and vocational training facility caters to students aged 16 to 24.

We are looking for a qualified professional with expertise in welding instruction. Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing the Career Development Services System (CDSS) plan throughout a student's tenure.
  • Mentoring and modeling good employability skills and work habits.
  • Teaching customer service as part of daily tasks and assignments.
  • Emphasizing the impact of actions and behaviors on employability.

The successful candidate will possess certification in arc welding, flux core arc welding, aluminum, and stainless steel TIG welding by the American Welding Society. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with students.

Additional requirements include meeting the Minimum Qualification per Exhibit 5.3 of the Policy Requirement Handbook, which specifies being certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center is located or accredited by a professional trade organization.
