The Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for the care and management of swine while assisting in overseeing the workforce at the sow farm under the guidance of the farm manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and maintain facilities in optimal condition, following all safety protocols.
- Uphold high standards of herd health and adhere to the company's biosecurity measures, including proper feeding and care of animals.
- Provide training to employees on daily operations and procedures to cultivate a skilled workforce through hands-on training techniques.
- Oversee and schedule employee groups, stepping in as acting manager in the absence of the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records and reports concerning animals, personnel, and supplies on the farm.
- Assist in ensuring timely and accurate submission of all weekly and daily reports.
- Follow the designated medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Minimum of 12 months of experience related to sow farming or equivalent training; or a combination of education and experience.
- At least 6 months of leadership experience.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Work hours and days are determined by departmental needs and management discretion. Availability for after-hours, weekends, and occasional travel may be required.

- Regular movement around the facility is required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 300 pounds.

- This is primarily a field position, requiring daily work at the farm.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations may occur.
