Job Summary

The Material Handler will perform a variety of functions that may include retrieving raw materials from the warehouse, maintaining inventory levels, organizing pallets, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels, process requests and supply orders, and pull materials as needed.
  • Warehouse Operations: Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards, and ensure excess material is returned to the warehouse.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, and perform tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock location orders, and other routine documentation used in the department.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to remain organized, basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the department, and ability to operate a forklift.
