Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Emergency Department and Convenient Care setting near Minooka, IL.

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments in both emergency and convenient care settings.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with varying acuity levels.
• Perform a wide range of bedside clinical procedures, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, x-rays, and lab results to inform treatment decisions.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
• Provide patient education and counseling to promote health and wellness.
• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC EMR system with Dragon for clear communication among all healthcare providers involved.

• Nurse Practitioner (NP): Active Illinois license as both a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), Board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or post-master's certificate with a Nurse Practitioner specialization.
• Physician Assistant (PA): Active Illinois license as a Physician Assistant (PA), Physician Assistant certified in Medicine, Board certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and advanced life support certifications relevant to your practice area (ACLS, PALS) are highly valued.
