Bernhard LLC is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Central Energy Plant (CEP) and ensuring the efficient management of energy usage across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze energy usage data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to reduce energy consumption.
- Mentor and train facility staff on energy management strategies and best practices.
- Manage the Central Energy Plant Operation and Maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
- Oversee the Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP and ensure timely and effective maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with plant operators to ensure efficient plant operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Assist the Bernhard EPC team with the coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations.
- Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with remote support services team.
- 2-3 years of experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant or 2-3 years of management experience in a central plant or facility.
- Well-versed in building codes and associated standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET Accredited Program).
- FE preferred.
0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
