The Clinical Support Specialist in the Operating Room at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation and Coordination: Assist with preparing sterile environments, coordinating with operating room staff, and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
- Patient Care: Provide continuous reassessment and assessment of patients during surgical procedures, ensuring their needs are met and they receive quality care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the health care team to promote population-based care, continuity of care, customer satisfaction, and self-care.
- Educational Background: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
- Certifications and Licenses: Basic Life Support required at hire; Surgical Technologist Certificate required at hire.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of sterile technique, operating room procedures, and equipment; effective relationships with people; ability to exercise good judgment and discipline.
- Experience: Two (2) to five (5) years of scrubbing experience in all surgical procedures in inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting.
- Additional Skills: Ability to rotate through sterile core area; clean and reprocess instruments, stock supplies, and pick case carts.
