Your Role: The Doe Run Company is on the lookout for a mobile machinery technician to uphold process safety and reduce operational downtime. This position operates during the night shift.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an industrial maintenance or automotive technology program, or at least one year of experience in auto repair or industrial maintenance.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid, current driver's license is required.
• Successful completion of the Doe Run Mobile Maintenance Mechanic aptitude assessment is necessary.

Essential Skills:

• Understanding of divisional operations, including mining, milling, and smelting.
• Fundamental mechanical abilities.
• Capability to operate mobile machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and skid steer loaders.
• Knowledge in metal fabrication, hydraulics/pneumatics, refractory work, and mechanical repairs.
• Basic computer proficiency and diagnostic skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn financial software.
• Basic literacy and mathematical skills.
• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Proficient in using hand tools and performing precise measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs.
• Efficiently manage time to ensure timely repair and maintenance services.
• Install new machinery and modify existing equipment as needed.
• Perform tasks safely and in compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies, while supporting peers in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

• Regular use of personal protective equipment is required, including respirators and hearing protection. Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, loud noises, and vibrations.
• Physical activities include reaching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and balancing, along with frequent talking and moving between sitting and standing positions.
• Regular lifting of up to 15 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds is expected.
